Apparently Roseanne Barr didn't learn anything from the Twitter misadventures of Spike Lee.

Lee apologized on Wednesday evening and offered to compensate?an elderly Florida couple who had to flee their home after he tweeted their address on March 23, claiming it was that of the parents of George Zimmerman, the man who killed teenager Trayvon Martin.

But according to the Smoking Gun, on Wednesday, Barr tweeted the correct address for Zimmerman's parents, then deleted the tweet, then threatened to tweet it again.

??If Zimmerman isn't arrested I'll rt his address again. maybe go 2 his house myself," Barr tweeted.

Criticism came quickly from the comedian's more than 100,000 followers.

In response, Barr wrote on Twitter Friday, ?The 'witchburnings' will continue despite apology?Decent [people] move on, indecent ones like to keep slinging mud [because] they r morally damaged.?

According to the Smoking Gun, the information Barr circulated was correct. However, she later admitted, ?I don't know if the address is accurate or not.?

Oprah Winfrey discussed Martin?s killing Wednesday with Extra TV, deeming the investigation a ?tragedy.?

Winfrey told Extra, "I saw some people on Twitter saying nothing has changed, the same thing's going on. Lots has changed and you know why? Because black people, white people, brown people, yellow people all over this country and all over the world are saying the same thing...It's a tragedy and it's a shame and justice needs to be served."

Winfrey said that she would like to interview Zimmerman about the case. "I would love to talk to him," she told Extra.

Recently my personal cyberspace has been inundated with blurbs about the so-called Republican ?War on Women,? mostly having to do with a conservative-led challenge to a national mandate that employers with religious objections to contraception and abortion be required to pay for insurance coverage for these services. It?s a genuine Constitutional issue. Freedom of conscience is an important safeguard against steamroller tactics propelling a society towards an enticing but ultimately disastrous trajectory. But somehow the messages that appear on bulletin boards assume that women have a right to compel others to pay for a particular form of contraception, and that this overrides the personal moral qualms of a nontrivial proportion of the population.

I?m skeptical about national grassroots movements. I?m skeptical about the seemingly spontaneous eruptions of political sentiment that occur in blogging networks and social media sites. Most of the people with whom I am connected are educated individuals with relatively high personal ethical standards, but they are not critical enough when it comes to forwarding socio-political messages whose ultimate source is unknown, and they sometimes inadvertently propagate misrepresentations that serve aims and entities far removed from the apparent goals of the campaign.

The issue in the contraceptive insurance debate is not whether women will have access to chemical birth control, but who is going to foot the bill. When chemical contraception first became available, it was generally an out of pocket expense, but in recent years more insurance plans have provided coverage and government subsidies have been available for low income women.

There remains, however, a large population for which contraception is still an out of pocket expense, and this limits what pharmaceutical companies can charge for the product. Jack the price of something up too high, and people will stop buying it ? unless there is a pressing need for it and no comparable substitute, or they are addicted to it, or it is paid for by a third party.

The first two conditions clearly do not apply. While no over the counter or behavioral method of birth control entirely matches the convenience and effectiveness of the Pill, some come close. Women do not experience withdrawal symptoms or physical craving when they stop taking hormonal birth control. Consequently, if the pharmaceutical industry is to maximize its profits on what is already a lucrative product line, they need to push the third party angle, lobbying for mandatory insurance coverage for the working population and government subsidies for those in the social welfare system.

There have been a number of instances recently where pharmaceutical companies have manipulated the FDA drug approval process to remove long-established generic drugs from the market, resulting in an order of magnitude increase in the cost of critical medications. Adding drug coverage to Medicare is at least correlated with this trend. The influence of major pharmaceutical companies in the FDA is immense; the public certainly cannot count on the Federal Government to be a neutral party when balancing the overall good against the corporate bottom line.

What is to stop the same thing happening with hormonal birth control? Not Planned Parenthood, which acts as Big Pharma?s chief salesman. Not the medical research community, which is funded by the pharmaceutical companies and the Federal Government and can easily come up with a study demonstrating that a long-established generic product is unsafe compared to a newly patented variant whose clinical history is unknown. To date, efforts through legislation to control medical costs have been woefully ineffective. There is no gatekeeper here.

As described in the Fitness Nutrition Plan in Step 1, healthy nutrition as well as changing to good eating habits by ditching most of the bad ones, it is possible to lose a lot of weight in body fat. In my case, I?ve lost 70 pounds by doing the steps I am offering here. Yet, I don?t think I?ve could have lost all this weight just by changing my diet plan or eating habits to the better. I had to start exercise and gain muscle mass to activate a metabolism ? thought lost.

Sticking to a well structured fitness plan makes it easy, actually enjoyable. You do not need to be a member of a gym or own fancy equipment, although a gym membership would allow you access to a variety of fitness equipment that can be useful.

Either way, I will provide you with two workout plans. Each includes a set of exercises you can do at home as follows or at the gym.

At Home Fitness Exercise Plan

Day 1 Monday: Cardiovascular Exercise

Day 2 Tuesday: Strength training circuit

You will do each exercise one time without resting in between, then rest for 90 seconds and start again so a circuit would look like this:

Keep pushing in between exercises, even if it is difficult at first; and soon you?ll notice the improvements to your physique and cardiovascular health.

Day 3 Wednesday: Cardiovascular exercise

Day 4 Thursday: Strength training circuit

Same rules apply as Tuesday, no rest in between exercises until the end.

Day 5 Friday- Cardiovascular
Same as Day 1 Monday.

Saturday and Sunday are optional days you can either rest or choose one of the above days to repeat. Any recreational exercise that you might be doing such as gardening/pick up sports games/ swimming/ etc are great as well.

RICHMOND HILL, Ga. (AP) ? No one recalls JetBlue Airways captain Clayton Osbon coming unhinged before. Not the airline that let him fly for 12 years, the neighbors in his secluded waterfront community or the friends he tried selling weight-loss shakes to on the side.

Now federal prosecutors have charged Osbon following his bizarre unraveling aboard Flight 191 to Las Vegas, describing in court records a midair breakdown they say began with cockpit ramblings about religion and ended with passengers wrestling him to the cabin floor.

Witness accounts of Osbon telling his co-pilot "things just don't matter" and sprinting down the center aisle ? yelling jumbled remarks about Sept. 11 and Iran ? baffled longtime friends and fellow pilots who said they couldn't remember previous health or mental problems.

Osbon, 49, was instead described as an affable aviator who took his private plane for joyrides in his spare time, shied from talking politics and hosted Super Bowl parties. His father was also a pilot who died in a 1995 plane crash while on a sunken treasure hunt, according to a Wisconsin newspaper in the town where his family lived.

"I can't say whether it's shock or disbelief," said Justin Ates, a corporate jet pilot and friend who also lives in Richmond Hill. "It's hard to describe what you feel when you see something that's completely 100 percent out of character."

Osbon is charged with interfering with a flight crew following his bizarre outburst Tuesday on the flight that began in New York and was diverted to Amarillo, Texas. He was still being held at a hospital there Wednesday and being medically evaluated.

Under federal law, a conviction for interference with a flight crew or attendants can bring up to 20 years in prison. The offense is defined as assaulting or intimidating the crew, interfering with its duties or diminishing its ability to operate the plane.

One aviation expert said he couldn't remember a pilot being prosecuted on the charge, which reads as though it was written with passengers in mind.

"I've been doing this for more than 50 years, and I can't recall anything like this," said Denny Kelly, a private investigator in Dallas and former Braniff Airlines pilot.

A pilot with JetBlue since 2000, Osbon acted oddly and became increasingly erratic on the flight, worrying his fellow crew members so much that they locked him out of cockpit after he abruptly left for the cabin, according to a federal affidavit. He then started yelling about Jesus, al-Qaida and a possible bomb on board, forcing passengers to tackle him and tie him up with seat belt extenders for about 20 minutes until the planed landed.

"The (first officer) became really worried when Osbon said 'we need to take a leap of faith,'" according to the sworn affidavit given by an FBI agent John Whitworth. "Osbon started trying to correlate completely unrelated numbers like different radio frequencies, and he talked about sins in Las Vegas."

Investigators said they were told that Osbon scolded air traffic controllers to quiet down, then turned off the radios altogether, and dimmed the monitors in the cockpit. He allegedly said aloud that "things just don't matter" and encouraged his co-pilot that they take a leap of faith.

"We're not going to Vegas," Osbon told his co-pilot in midflight, according to the affidavit.

Osbon, described by neighbors as tall and muscular, "aggressively" grabbed the hands of a flight attendant who confronted him and later dashed down the cabin while being chased. Passengers wrestled Osbon to the ground, and one female flight attendant's ribs were bruised during the struggle. No one on board was seriously hurt.

JetBlue spokeswoman Allison Steinberg said Osbon had been suspended pending a review of the flight. JetBlue CEO and President Dave Barger told NBC's "Today" show that Osbon is a "consummate professional" whom he has "personally known" for years. He said nothing in the captain's record indicates he would be a risk on a flight.

In Richmond Hill, a bedroom community on the Georgia coast just south of Savannah, next-door neighbor Bud Lawyer said he's having a hard time believing the man on the news is his good friend.

Osbon went to church but seldom talked about it and never seemed overly zealous, Lawyer said. And while the friends would occasionally chat about events in the Middle East, their talk never went beyond casual conversation about the events in the news, he said.

"He wouldn't intentionally hurt anyone," Lawyer said. "He's a kind-hearted, generous, loving teddy bear. It's totally out of character for this to happen to him."

Another longtime friend, Bill Curley, said Osbon is a Christian who has become "increasingly" religious but wasn't fanatical.

Osbon was also a direct marketer for health shakes sold by Visalus Sciences, a marketing company based in Troy, Mich. Ashley Guerra, a fellow Visalus marketer in Georgia, said she saw Osbon just last weekend and that he appeared friendly and helpful as usual.

In an interview last year with the local magazine Richmond Hill Reflections, Osbon said he first got in the cockpit when he was 6 or 7 and had ambitions of becoming a motivational speaker. His father and another man died after the engines in their plane failed over Daytona Beach while en route to look for treasure in Fort Lauderdale, according to 1995 story in the Washington Island Observer, a newspaper in the small Wisconsin community where Osbon's parents had a home.

Osbon's LinkedIn profile states that he received a degree in aeronautical physics from Hawthorne College and a physics degree from Carnegie Mellon University. However, Carnegie Mellon spokeswoman Teresa Thomas said Osbon attended the school for three years but never obtain his degree.

"On a Sunday morning he'd call me up and say, 'Let's go for a flight,'" neighbor Erich Thorp said. "Even with that little Piper Cub, before he would take it off the ground he would spend 15 minutes checking everything out. He had a whole list he would check. He was as careful a pilot as you could imagine."

US stocks open mixed; strong factory orders report

Stock opened mixed on Wednesday after the government said factory orders rose strongly last month, a sign that businesses continue to invest.

The Dow Jones industrial average was up two points at 13,199 as of 10:05 a.m. Eastern time. The broader Standard & Poor's 500 index fell a fraction of a point to 1,412. The Nasdaq composite index, heavy with technology stocks, rose seven points to 3,127.

The Commerce Department said before the market opening that orders for durable goods, things expected to last at least three years, rose 2.2 percent in February. Orders for machinery, computers, autos and aircraft fueled the rise.

The solid report on factory orders relieved fears that demand might fall sharply because a key tax break expired. Businesses last year could deduct the cost of their investments from taxable profits before calculating their tax bills. That tax benefit has been halved since January.

The positive economic news reduced demand for U.S. Treasury debt. The yield on the 10-year Treasury rose to 2.21 percent from 2.19 percent before the report. As stocks opened mixed, demand for Treasurys rose and the yield fell back to 2.20 percent.

The encouraging report on orders for durable goods came a day after an index of consumer confidence suggested Americans' spirits are resilient despite skyrocketing gasoline costs.

Energy prices, another concern for economic policymakers, might be moving in a direction that would encourage growth. Futures for crude, natural gas, heating oil and gasoline all fell early Wednesday, with gasoline leading the way.

Oil prices fell to near $105 a barrel Wednesday after a report suggesting a larger-than-expected jump in U.S. crude supplies, a sign that demand remains weak.

The American Petroleum Institute said late Tuesday that crude inventories rose 3.6 million barrels last week. That is a bigger jump than was predicted by Platts, the energy information arm of McGraw-Hill Cos. Platts expects an increase of 2.8 million barrels.

If consumers get a break on what they have to pay for energy, that could provide a bump for the U.S. economy.

In corporate news:

? Shares of organic food maker Annie's soared in the first 20 minutes of their trading debut on the New York Stock Exchange. The company, based in Berkeley, Calif., priced its shares at $19 late Tuesday. They were up 66 percent at $31.32 at 10 a.m.

? Shares of Sealy Corp. rose 2 percent after the mattress maker reported a surprise profit in the first quarter of 1 cent per share. Analysts surveyed by FactSet had expected a loss of 2 cents per share.

? Clothing brand powerhouse PVH Corp. rose 2 percent after its fourth-quarter profit jumped on gains from its Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger brands.

It?s best if you have the room darkened and quiet. A baby?s sleeping schedule can be interrupted by almost any kind of noise. Therefore, you?ll want your baby to be in a room that is away from noises.

Pre-bedtime rituals prepare your baby for sleeping. These should be activities that are not over-stimulating. Some possibilities include rocking the baby to sleep or singing lullabies.

You should keep the nursery at the right temperature. A comfortable room temperature will help your child comfortably sleep through the night without waking.

Babies do cry at times, though. Many parents use the controlled crying method. When the baby starts to cry, let him be for five minutes before you do anything. Do no more than pat him and soothe him with words. Do not pick him up out of his cot. Every time you go into the nursery, be sure that you are speaking soothingly. By waiting 5 to 10 minutes, your baby will learn that crying will not help and your reassuring voice will help your baby feel secure.

Why Windows 8 May Be A Failure

Everybody is talking about the new Windows 8 operating system, which is due out next fall. Microsoft (MSFT) is trying to conquer a share of the smartphone and tablet market and to that end is introducing the new Metro interface which is supposedly tailored with the mobile user in mind.

The problem with Windows 8 is that Microsoft's new OS will be shipped and pre-installed on desktop and laptops alike; while the new Metro environment may look cool, users who care more about efficiency and productivity are probably going to be disappointed; I tried the consumer preview on a friend's PC and as soon as I began using it I felt helpless, like a fish out of water, as I was being forced to use a touch-based user interface on a system that uses traditional keyboard and mouse input devices. The start button is gone and, even worse, you cannot disable the Metro interface and revert to the classic desktop; unless the developers change their mind before the official release, I guess that users that prefer the old interface will be required to install some third-party advertising-supported rubbish to get back the environment they were comfortable with.

Microsoft has dominated for two decades the desktop and laptop market, and this thanks to a simple and conservative design, backward compatibility, long term support and consistency.

With Windows 8 Microsoft is taking a gamble, where at stake is its loyal user base, in an attempt to get a slice of the mobile market, where competition is fierce - namely Android and iOS - and profit margins are thinner. It is as if Harley Davidson (HOG) suddenly decided to discontinue its legendary V-Twin engine and began equipping its choppers with hybrid eco-friendly engines because going green is the new fad. Call it corporate hara-kiri.

The new OS may work great if most of your computing activities are about updating your status on Facebook or checking the weather forecast, but I doubt that business users (engineers, doctors, architects, etc.), small offices and knowledgeable home users will rush to get Win 8 to run the latest cool app.

Moreover, the new metro interface may disappoint tablet and smartphone users as well, because when you want to use Windows Explorer or the Control Panel the new look just disappears and you're presented with the usual windows 7 interface; I wonder how you can efficiently manage files and tweak settings on a mobile device when you can barely see the icons.

This video also gives you an idea of the hassle average-Joe will go through when he uses the new interface for the first time. The man in the video ends by saying "Are they trying to drive me to Mac?". It may turn out Microsoft is doing its old rival Apple (AAPL) a favor by scaring away its customers from the desktop market.

It is as though Microsoft is once again confirming the theory that when they have a good OS out, you should skip the next. Win 98 was good, Win Millennium Edition was bad; Win XP was good and Vista was a fiasco. Now Win 7 is probably the best Microsoft OS to date and Win 8, in its current form, has all it takes to become the next flop.

Over the years or over the last 5-6 decades the need for good quality medical and nursing cloths have only got bigger and today it?s very much part of our regular lives. So what used to be worn only in the long corridors of hospitals and medical barracks have now entered our living room in a big way. Otherwise as we know that doctors, nurses and people related to healthcare professions need to protect themselves from unwanted dirt, germs and bacteria and that is why the use of various medical garments has slowly but very steadily come into the mainstream of medical science.

I won?t call it a revolution or something like that rather; I?d prefer to say that like any other thing, medical cloths were also modified mainly due to necessity. Medical personnel need to be clean and germ-free and what best than a pair of nursing scrubs, gowns or gloves? More than fashion, it came out from the demands of the specific regular duties of nurses.

Now there are different kinds of medical garments to be seen in the market. Men scrubs are usually not that trendy; generally they are plain colored. Which color will someone use also depends upon the likings of a particular person.

?Many nurses feel that while you are serving or treating a patient it doesn?t look good to wear all these funky colored stuffs whereas others think that wearing colorful medical uniforms help the ailing patient feel better from mentally. I personally feel that while you are working at any lab or hospital for any medical purposes, it?s not the best idea to wear fashionable medical uniforms that may get horribly dirty by some cream or ingredients used for various medical purposes. ?

Thus the bottom line we see, as far as wearing medical uniforms are concerned, is that you need to get rid of bacteria, germs and dirt in the first place. Wearing medical cloths is more about inevitability and ease rather than fashion and brazenness. Thanks to the presence of whole lot of nursing scrubs and online scrubs selling companies purchasing these garments aren?t that difficult.? Moreover online shopping is very easy and quick. Always check that you are buying the best quality outfits; colors and fabrics aren?t that crucial as far as wearing medical cloths and scrubs are concerned but never compromise with the quality of the cloth.
